Swift Current's Rainy September: More Moisture on the Way

September has been a wet one here in Swift Current. We've already picked up 56 millimetres of rain this month—well above the 40.6-millimetre average for September. Environment Canada is calling for more moisture to roll in again by Friday and Saturday, so keep those umbrellas handy. The good news? Drier conditions are expected to settle in early next week. And as we head into the weekend, gardeners should take note: a first fall frost is possible early Sunday morning, with overnight lows near freezing. That's right around our average first frost date of September 19th. Time to tuck in the garden and get ready for the cooler weeks ahead. Stay dry out there, neighbours!

When the rain comes, the land drinks deep—and so do we, over warm coffee at the counter.” — Uncle Sam
