Madison Kovar Ropes Her Way to National Glory

When the dust settled at the Canadian Cowboys Association Finals Rodeo in North Battleford, Swift Current had plenty to cheer about. Madison Kovar took home the ladies breakaway roping title, proving that our town has real talent in the arena. Breakaway roping is pure skill—a rider and horse work as one to catch and rope a steer's neck, then the rope breaks clean to stop the clock. It takes nerve, precision, and practice. Madison's win shows what dedication and heart can do. Here's to Madison and all the southwest Saskatchewan competitors who've been shining bright this season. You make our community proud.
