Community Spirit Shines: Swift Current Comes Together for Injured Stray

On October 26, Swift Current showed what community really means. When an injured stray cat needed help, locals stepped up without hesitation. City councillor Ryan Switzer took notice of the effort and made sure people knew about it—because that's what neighbours do. They look out for each other, even for the smallest among us. From the person who spotted the cat to those who helped it get care, this is the kind of thing that makes Swift Current the place it is: people who see a need and answer the call. If you know of other animals in trouble, don't wait. Reach out to local animal services or a neighbour. Swift Current takes care of its own—four-legged friends included.
